Arena Sanok was commissioned in January 2006. Since the opening of the sports and entertainment center, various sports and entertainment events have been organized here. The designer of Arena Sanok was the architect Wojciech Gęsiak from Radom. His project won the competition decided on December 1, 2003. The construction costs were covered by the then Ministry of National Education and Sport with the support of Andrzej Kraśnicki from the Polish Olympic Committee and the Integrated Regional Development Operational Program. The facility was built from September 2004 to January 2006. The name Arena Sanok was chosen in February 2006 as a result of submitted proposals. The official opening of the hall took place on April 11, 2006 with a Poland - Hungary hockey match. The surface of the ice rink has dimensions of 30x60 m. The usable area is 7400 m², and the volume is 61.500 m³. The stage has an area of 300 m².
