The square in the center of Sanok borders on the south with the market square and on the north-west with Zamkowa street. The southern frontage of the square is a historic tenement house, the southern seat of the Historical Museum and the Zaleski family villa. From the east of the square there is a slope and a view of the Błonie district and further areas of Sanok and the surrounding area. In the past there was a statue of Tadeusz Kościuszko, by the sculptor Julian Markowski from Lviv. However, the monument was demolished in April 1941.
