In the past, the building was the seat of the town hall in Sanok. The building represents the style of electricity, it served as the town hall until the end of the 18th century, it is located in the eastern frontage of the market. It was built by the Austrian authorities in place of the former wooden town hall, built after the fire in 1756 and mentioned after the lustration in 1766. This wooden two-storey town hall was intended for city courts, propination and butchers, burned down in 1782. In 1892 it was thorough renovation and reconstruction according to the design of Władysław Beksiński, the façade gained a uniform facade. The front facade of the building has an antique clock, originally made at the Najdera company in Prague at the end of the 19th century.
