Currently a ruined medieval castle located picturesquely in the San Valley. Its origins date back to the 13th century. It was built at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries as a stone castle. Lord Soban appeared in the documents as the first owner. The castle was then royal property. In 1389 the castle was conferred by Władysław Jagiełło to the knightly family of Kmita. Sobień Castle was destroyed in 1474 by the Hungarian army. In 1474, in retaliation for the destruction done in Upper Hungary by Paweł Jasieński. The current condition of the castle is only ruins, on the overgrown forest hill there are fragments of the former stronghold in the form of defensive walls, remains of buildings and traces of ramparts of the outer ward. The castle hill is an interesting natural object through which the tourist trail leads.
