Manasterzec

Go to map

Manasterzec was located in 1433 as the property of the Kmita family. In the 18th century there was a Basilian monastery - a monastery and hence the name of the village. Iron and copper ore were mined and smelted here. The history of the village is closely connected with the Sobień castle, which was given in 1389 by Władysław Jagiełło to the knightly family of Kmita.
