Address: ul. Słowackiego , Lesko
The exact date of the cemetery's creation remains unknown, the first mention of burial of the dead in this area comes from 1611. The Jewish cemetery in Lesko, due to the age of preserved tombstones, is considered one of the most valuable cemetery in Poland. The oldest of the preserved tombstones comes from 1548. The cemetery was probably used until 1703. The total area of the cemetery is about 3 ha. About 2,000 tombstones have been preserved, most of them are in ruins. The oldest preserved matzevot have no symbolism. In 1969, the cemetery was entered in the register of monuments. Thanks to the efforts of, among others, the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland and young people from the "Antyschematy" program, cleaning works have been carried out in the cemetery for some time. From 2012, admission to the cemetery is paid PLN 6 per person.
