The nature reserve located in the communes of Czarna and Lutowiska. Along with the surrounding area, it is part of the San Valley Landscape Park and the Natura 2000 Bieszczady area and the international biosphere reserve of the Eastern Carpathians. It is located on two sides of the watershed section of the San between the mouth of the stream called Hulski and the bridge in Rajsko. "Krywe" is an exact reserve and access to it is forbidden, but its nature can be admired from a short distance by walking along the forest path along the San River. There is the Polish population of Aesculapian snake here. The reserve and its surroundings are the only certain position of this species in Poland known at the beginning of the 21st century. Smooth snakes, zig-zag snakes also live in this area somewhat less frequently.
