A marked historical and natural path leads to the old cemetery in the upper San Valley. Currently, it is the area of ​​the Bieszczady National Park. The cemetery and the site of the church in Beniowa are located in the lower part of the village, surrounded by old trees. Mention of the first church in this place comes from 1589. This place is associated with the legend of the local robber Oleksy Dowbusz, who was supposed to hide his sacred knife in that church. The next church was built here in 1779, it was a subsidiary Greek Catholic church. St. Of Archangel Michael. The temple was wooden, represented the Boyko type of church. It was demolished around 1926. The last church in Beniowa was built in 1909, south of the previous one. Architecturally, it was similar to the existing church in Bystrem near Czarna. At the cemetery in Beniowa, tombstones with a symbol of a pitcher and a flower carved in sandstone survived. The pitcher symbolizes earthly life, receiving and receiving.
