The tenement house was built in 1906 by Karol Gerardis. It is a brick, one-storey building, the facade is decorated with Art Nouveau decorations, adjacent to it a balcony with a metal, ornamented balustrade. A sculpture of Atlas was placed in the corner of the facade. Hence the name of the tenement house - "Dom pod Atlas". The author of this sculpture is the artist Stanisław Piątkiewicz. Originally, the building belonged to the family of Karol Gerardis. After the marriage of the daughter of Róża by Zygmunt Kruszelnicki, a lawyer and a district court judge, he passed into the hands of the Kruszelnicki family. After World War II, the tenement house was under the city's management. It was restored in 1974. During the Polish People's Republic, a children's clinic was located on the ground floor. At the turn of 2012/2013 a thorough renovation of the building facade was carried out, consisting in giving a new color scheme, referring to the original colors from the period of Gerardias residence. Renovation works were carried out under the supervision of a conservator.
