The square is located in the center of Sanok, in the Śródmieście district. From the east it borders with Adam Mickiewicz Street, from the west surrounded by the City Park named after Adam Mickiewicz in Sanok. During the Polish People's Republic, there was a pond in the central part of the square, and a gazebo in the southeast corner. In 2011, the Sanok City Council decided to give the building the name Scout Square. The naming ceremony was held on September 21, 2011 along with the celebration of the Century of Sanocki Scouting. The square is currently a place of various cultural and patriotic celebrations.
