A monument of inanimate nature, located in a forest, on a green nature path passing from the Żukowa range to Michałowiec, in the town of Myczkowce. The stone is a form of rocks, which are commonly called the Orelecki Stone. Built of sandstone, which gave time a characteristic silhouette that arouses the interest of many people. The rock is not relatively high. Once in the surrounding villages there were legends that the rock form is the heart of the stepmother, which was turned into stone, because it is associated with the legend "Stone stepmother's heart" written by Oskar Kolberg. Here is the content of this legend: 'Once upon a time Jędrzej lived in Orelec, famous for its strength and goodness. All the maidens loved him and every advice was to have him married. Grown Jędruś was a model of resourcefulness, diligence and extraordinary peasant wisdom. When he got married, God blessed his marriage with two beautiful twin daughters. He and his wife enjoyed their happiness very much, but - as it was then - during the harsh winter, his wife suddenly fell ill and left the world unexpectedly. The whole family despaired and became sad. Jędruś was left alone with his daughters, trying to reconcile the work of farming with their upbringing. It was hard for him alone. Finally, good people, seeing his effort, began to persuade Jedrek to marry, explaining that life is easier for two. The spouse will probably take care of her daughters, cook something and help at the farm ... A beautiful Ewka was dumped at her, who spoke to her with beautiful and tender words, cuddled up to him, but to work - as it turned out later - she was too lazy and slow. After a year, another daughter was born. Jędruś loved all his children with all his heart and worked sweatfully in his field to provide them with the best possible life. Every day before leaving home - as his mother used to do - he blessed his children by placing a cross on their foreheads and giving God his protection. Ewka, in secret from her husband, showed increasing hatred towards her stepdaughters. First, she ordered them to do work beyond their strength, and when they could not cope with the stepmother's requirements, she did not give them food. She spared no unpleasant words or ingratitude. The girls, however, patiently endured all these humiliations, so that dear daddy would not find out and be sad about it. Finally, the embarrassed Ewka wanted to get her stepdaughters out of the room and send them a bed. Jędruś, however, strongly protested and refused to let him do what she was angry with. Therefore, Ewka decided to get rid of her stepdaughters from home by a trick. In late autumn, when night frosts were heavy and the husband was not at home, she urged unexpectedly, asking both girls to go to the forest with a basket and gather wild strawberries for their little sister. It is known that at this time of year, just before the onset of winter, the wild strawberries are gone. Girls, however, obediently went to look for them for fear of their stepmother's anger. As soon as the ungrateful stepmother of the "devil" left the house, she asked that they never come home again. Poor girls walked all day in the woods, looking for wild strawberries everywhere, but they could not find them, because the trees had already dressed them in red for a long autumn. The short day passed quickly, the sun set and suddenly it began to get dark. The girls were afraid to return home with the empty basket. Then the wolves sensed them, circled them, and they seemed to eat them already. But good God looked after them. Their father's daily blessing rested with them. And the father's blessing is putting the child under his wings with full trust. This is the shortest prayer of entrusting God to your child. Therefore, God caused ants to cover the sleeping bear in his cradle, and at that dangerous moment he became angry that making napping difficult for him and he roared so terribly loud that the whole forest shook. Wolves with a squeal of terror broke in panic, tucking their tails under each other. The scared girls crouched under the hazel bush, and when the night fell, they hugged each other and tired of all day walking wild strawberries in the woods fell asleep hard. Jędrzej came back home late in the evening and noticing that the twin was not in the cottage, he asked Ewka about it. On the other hand, she explained with nice words that they went to the forest in the morning for probably berries and they are still gone. Maybe they came to one of the hosts - she tried to calm her husband. But Jedrusia was overcome by a bad feeling and did not put any food in his mouth. He got up from the table leaving the food given by his wife, took the ax by the belt and left the hut in search of his daughters. First, he walked around all the farms and learned from the people that the maids were walking in the morning with a basket to the forest. So he went in the direction indicated by calling girls by name, what strength in the lungs. The echo carried his loud voice bouncing only on the ravines. He roamed the streams and ravines, ravines and cliffs, and his voice was hoarse with constant calling. There was no sign of the girls. The night became dark, the frost was rising and he began to feel chill on his sweaty back. He was already very tired and tired of this search. So he began to ask God for help with confidence. And then suddenly in a pine youngster on the edge of the village a magnificent stone almost appeared before him, which had never been there before. Amazed, he came closer and saw beside him sleeping under the hazel and both beloved daughters hugged to each other. Their fair-haired heads were supported by a basket, and their bodies warmed each other on this cold autumn night. Glad, he took them both in his arms, hugged them tightly to his chest, and briskly began to descend into the village. On the way back, the daughters told the father the whole truth about their fate. When they entered the house, his wife Ewka was lying dead on the bed with her chest open, as if cut with a knife. A policeman and an official doctor were called, who, after a thorough examination of the body of the dead Ewka, said that "it was probably the devil who took his heart from her." Jędruś guessed at that time, already knowing how she treated her stepdaughters, that it was her ungrateful "stone heart" that grew up next to them in the forest above, where they slept under the hazel. From now on, the stone in the Oregon forest on Myczkowce resembling the shape of a human heart is commonly called the "stone heart of the stepmother".
