The subject of protection of the landscape reserve is the preservation of the most beautiful fragment of the Osława river valley, whose slopes are covered by a fir and beech stand, forming a community of Carpathian beech forest. The reserve was created in 2000 on an area of 322.45 ha. This area is directly adjacent to the red trail on the Prełuki - Duszatyn section, so it can be a variation on this route.
