Szeroki Wierch is the western edge of the Tarnica group, it is separated from its highest peak by a small pass (1275 m a.s.l.). It is an elongated ridge covered with pastonia, with four culminations: 1243, 1268, 1293 and 1315 m a.s.l. The highest one has a separate name: Tarniczka. The Broad Peak range is limited by the valleys: Terebowiec from the north and Wołosatka from the south and west. They are separated from the Krzemień massif by a pass (1160 m a.s.l.) called the Goprowska Pass (in the summer months GOPR rescuers have their tent there). The uncovered ridge of Wide Peak offers views of the surrounding peaks, including Połonina Caryńska, the Rawek massif, Bukowe Berdo, Krzemień, Tarnica. Along the range runs the red tourist trail (red section of the Main Beskids Trail) from Ustrzyki Górne to the pass near Tarnica - one of the possibilities to enter Tarnica (3 hours). Of the rare plant species in Poland, thyme blight has been found on the southern slope of Wide Peak.
