A town in the commune of Lutowiska, located in the valley of the Głębokie stream near its mouth to San. From October 1939 to August 1944, the village was the seat of the commune office in the Sanok poviat. In the post-war period until 1951, the town was the seat of the Zatwarnica commune in the Lesko poviat. In the years 1975-1998 the town administratively belonged to the Krosno province. The village was located under the law of Wołów in the Kmita estate. Piotr Kmita Sobieński inherits Zatwarnica until his death, after him the childless widow Barbara Kmita of Herburtów. After her death in 1580, brother Stanisław Herburt. In Zatwarnica there are many recreation centers, BdPN forester's lodges and State Forests, shops, which is why it is a convenient tourist destination. The village also has a Catholic branch church. The Good Shepherd belonging to the parish of St. Archangel Michael in Dwernik.
