The village lies at the confluence of the small and large Bieszczady Loop, in the east of their connection. There are: a school, several shops, a post office, a bus stop, and the "Barak" art gallery. In the past, Czarna was one village. Currently it is administratively divided into Czarna Górna and Czarna Dolna.
