The geological reserve is located in the Ciśniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park, in the commune of Baligród. The purpose of establishing the reserve was to preserve gołoborza, slowly undergoing forest succession. It is located on the slopes of a small hill, between the Rabski Stream valley and its two right tributaries. Geologically, the reserve is located within the Bystry husk, while the rock debris is built of thick sandstone blocks. Within the reserve there are also mineral springs.
