The first mention of a former village located in this area called "Brzesznycza" dates from 1480. Tourist paths and paths lead through the village: in the south of the village there is a viewpoint on the Bieszczady Połoniny, over the village there is also an educational trail through Markowska, Zrub to Baligród.
