The village is located in the Uherczańska Basin at the foot of the Żukowa range on the Olszanka River near the large Bieszczady beltway and the cross-border cycling route Slovakia - Poland - Ukraine and on the railway line Zagórz - Krościenko - Chyrów in Ukraine. Uherce is one of the oldest towns in Bieszczady. They probably already existed at the time of Russian princes. The name of the place indicates the share of people brought from abroad in the formation of the village.
